June - 2010 The filter pond is maturing and is full of fish fry from the river. It is attracting many birds and insects and can is an asset to wildlife. It has a tendency to produce a large quantity of floating algae in warm weather, which gathers in the outlet channel and can be very smelly.

 

June 2010 - One pyramidal orchid found.

Butterflies: Meadow brown, Ringlet, Comma, Marbled white, Small white, Small tortoiseshell also Scarlet tiger moth.
