Middle Street Meadow has a central playing field area of level ground which is regularly mown and is used for football through the winter months and more latterly for cricket in the summer. Around this field area there are well maintained grass pathways popular with local residents and dog walkers. There are other areas of grass which are less frequently mown which are left for the benefit of wildlife. As of 2008 the Environment Agency have created a pond to filter the run-off from Churchfields industrial estate. The meadow is bordered on its northern side by the river Nadder.
